About Master Jeon
Master Hyunwook Jeon is certified to teach Taekwondo by Kukkiwon (World Taekwondo Headquarters) and is also certified to teach Judo by the Korean Judo Association. He holds a 5th degree Black Belt in Judo and 4th degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, as well as a 4th degree Black Belt in Yongmudo.
Master Jeon’s martial arts journey began when he was just 5-years-old. He still remembers walking into a Taekwondo studio, anxiously holding his mother’s hand, but excited to see the action on the mat. To this day, Master Jeon sees himself in every child who walks in the door.
As a South Korean native, Master Jeon studied at the prestigious Yong In University, which ranks at the top for Judo education in South Korea. The university is unique in that it requires all of its professors and instructors to hold Olympic gold medals. Under their guidance, some of South Korea’s top athletes are produced year after year. Master Jeon earned a Bachelor of Physical Education in 2009, double-majoring in Judo and Police Administration, and minoring in Taekwondo.
Since arriving in the U.S, Master Jeon has taught more than 5,000 students in 10 years, including many who have medaled in local, state and national championships. His students include everyone from young children to adults.
Master Paulo Gonçalves
Master Paulo Gonçalves started learning Taekwondo in 1995. A native of Brazil, he has a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Londrina State University. He holds a third-degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and had the honor to join the Brazilian Taekwondo National team and represent his country on numerous tournaments.
He works as a fitness trainer for 10 years now, specializing in functional training and strength training. Prior to that, he taught martial arts to kids for 6 years. Taekwondo is his source of strength, joy, and well-being, and he loves to share this passion with others and help them improve their lives.
He enjoys music, surfing, and traveling. Fun fact - he has a huge collection of action figures!
